Easy Pineapple Cake

Four cups of diced fresh pineapple

1/2 stick of butter

4 tablespoons brown sugar

One box of pineapple cake mix

Butter a 9 x 13 pan

In a skillet melt the butter

Add the pineapple

When the pineapple starts to soften add the brown sugar and cook till some of the liquid has evaporated.

Mix the cake mix according to package directions.

Pour into the prepared pan.

Add the pineapple evenly over the batter

Bake according to the cake mix directions.

Make sure your knife is clean when you test the cake for doneness.

Let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Serve with a cherry or strawberry on top.

Whipped cream or ice cream would be a nice touch.

Good cake to take to a BBQ.
