Fresh Celery


Don’t say “yuk”.

My friend gave me some celery plants and I planted them.

They grew and grew

The animals ate everything else in my garden but not this.

I like celery but I have a ton.

So my new friend from the garden club gave me a fast recipe .

I did change it because the celery is so thin and tender

About four cups of celery cut into one inch pieces.

2 tablespoons butter

Salt and pepper to taste

crumbled blue cheese

Melt the butter in a frying pan

Add the celery and stir fry till soft

Season with salt and pepper

Garnish with the blue cheese crumbles.

It is so good.

Now if you don’t have garden celery the store bought needs to be blanched for just a minute and then dried before it goes into the butter.

You can also add raisins and walnuts but I didn’t have either.
