Sausage ,Pepper and Onion Pizza
It was one of those night when I couldn’t figure out what I wanted so I rummaged threw the refrigerator .
Some pizza dough was looking right at me.
One pound of Italian sausage. Take out of the casing and crumble.
One diced onion
One diced red pepper
One pound of pizza dough
One pound of mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
Brown the sausage, breaking it up into small pieces while it cooks.
Add the onion and pepper
Saute till soft
Set aside
preheat the oven to 450 degrees
Grease a 9×13 pan with crisco
Stretch out the pizza dough with your fingers to fit the corners.
Sprinkle the dough with 1/2 of the parmesan cheese
Slice the mozzarella cheese into thin slices.
Spread over the pizza evenly.
Place the sausage on a paper towel to drain the fat.
Top with the drained sausage meat, onions and peppers.
Sprinkle the rest of the parmesan cheese on the pizza
Bake on the bottom shelf in the oven for about 20 minutes.
Check often because the crust is really good and crunchy if it is medium brown.
This was pretty good and I saved $15.00.
