Caramel Cheetos
Talk about the worst thing to make.
I just had to try this.
Either it was going to be delicious or disgusting.
Cheetos are great by themselves but this is ridiculous.
Salty, crunchy and sweet.
After trying at least forty pieces, I decided I like them and would never make them again.
I ate every tiny crumble so I wasn’t eating so much. Believe me, I ate plenty.
This tastes like Cheetos poppycock.
One cup of light brown sugar
1/2cup butter
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 tsp baking soda
One 11 ounce bag of crunchy Cheetos
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.
Pour all the Cheetos into a large bowl
Don’t eat any.
In a medium saucepan mix the brown sugar, butter and corn syrup.
Boil for a couple of minutes.
Do not leave the pan and stir often.
Take the pan off the heat and add the baking soda.
The mixture will become light tan so keep on stirring till everything is mixed.
Pour on the Cheetos and mix to coat everything
Pour onto non stick aluminum foil
Spread everything out, don’t have big clumps.
Bake for one hour and stir four or five times to mix everything up while it is melting .
Break into smaller pieces after it has cooled.
Keep in a air tight container for one week.
I found this recipe on line and the only credit was a website of http://www.plainchicken.com
