Fast Apple Sauce

unnamed (86)

I have a apple tree but I refuse to spray it with pesticides.

As a result, my apples are not perfect like the ones in the picture but they are delicious.

Since I have to watch my sugar I decided to make applesauce.

I am old so I love applesauce.

Peel, core and slice the apples

I normally would not peel the apples but they where not pretty.

12 apples

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 1/2 cups diet cranberry juice or unsweetened juice.

Put the apples, juice and cinnamon in a pot.

Bring to a boil.

Stir.

Lower the heat, cover the pot and cook till the apples are really mushy.

This should only take ten to fifteen minutes.

Stir with a spoon till everything is soft and the consistency you like.

I like it with a surprise chunk ever so often.

This is the perfect snack or side dish.
