Italian Popcorn

Once I start eating popcorn I can’t stop.

This is what happens with these croutons, hence the name popcorn.

My son came up with the name when he couldn’t stop eating them.

Go into the bakery department of the grocery store.

Look for their garlic clove panini or baguettes.

These breads are more expensive but they have big cloves of garlic in each loaf.

One large loaf of garlic bread or 3 small garlic baguettes

1/4 cup olive oil plus more if you need it.

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Cut the bread into dime to nickel size pieces

Mix everything well to coat all the bread

Pour into a baking sheet and move around to form a single layer

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and bake for eight to ten minutes

Open the oven and stir the croutons so all sides are light brown

You have to watch these delicious little breads because the burn in seconds

Thats it.

After they cool store in a air tight container

I don’t know how long they last because they are always gone.

If you really want to be really decadent add melted butted to the oil.

Pretty good
