Italian Popcorn

Once I start eating popcorn I can’t stop.
This is what happens with these croutons, hence the name popcorn.
My son came up with the name when he couldn’t stop eating them.
Go into the bakery department of the grocery store.
Look for their garlic clove panini or baguettes.
These breads are more expensive but they have big cloves of garlic in each loaf.
One large loaf of garlic bread or 3 small garlic baguettes
1/4 cup olive oil plus more if you need it.
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Cut the bread into dime to nickel size pieces
Mix everything well to coat all the bread
Pour into a baking sheet and move around to form a single layer
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and bake for eight to ten minutes
Open the oven and stir the croutons so all sides are light brown
You have to watch these delicious little breads because the burn in seconds
Thats it.
After they cool store in a air tight container
I don’t know how long they last because they are always gone.
If you really want to be really decadent add melted butted to the oil.
