Mom’s Cabbage Soup

6 tablespoons olive oil
One large diced onion
6 cloves of chopped garlic
One large head of green cabbage cut into quarter size pieces
2 cups chicken broth
2 cans of Sriracha diced tomatoes
One can of tomato paste with one can of water
One 6 ounce jar of green pitted olives with all the brine
3 tablespoons capers with the brine
Ten basil leaves
One teaspoon brown sugar
Heat the oil on medium heat
Add the garlic and onions
Cook till soft
Add everything else and cook till the cabbage is soft.
Serve in a big bowl and eat without guilt.
