Pepper Biscuits
When I think back to my childhood, my Mom was always rolling something out.
We had containers of these biscuits and my Mom made everything look so easy.
These are not hard but a little time consuming.
5 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon salt
3 tablespoon fennel seed
1 1/2 cups luke warm water
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon corse grind black pepper
1 1/4 cup oil
Mix all the ingredients together.
Cover for one hour
Cut and roll into 1/2 inch ropes.
Tie into a knot. I like mine small.
Place on a baking pan and sprinkle with kosher salt.
Bake till golden brown.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes
These are worse then potato chips. You can’t stop eating them.
I serve them with soup or just a nosh with a drink.
